Pencil Sketch | Inked Artwork | Cartoon Color | Rendered Color | Marker Color | Con Badges
What it is: Pencil sketches are usually drawn in blue Col-Erase pencil on animation paper. The Col-Erase pencil has a waxy texture that helps prevent smearing and smudging. What you get: You will receive both a high-resolution scan and a smaller screen-resolution file delivered electronically. If you wish the original artwork, it can be mailed to you for an additional shipping fee.
What it is: Inked artwork is drawn in black ink on a sheet of Bristol board, usually 9x12". What you get: You will receive both a high-resolution scan and a smaller screen-resolution file delivered electronically. If you wish the original artwork, it can be mailed to you for an additional shipping fee.
What it is: Cartoon color is done digitally, using a fairly flat color palette and simple shading technique for a stylistic cartoon look, similar to cel shading. What you get: You will receive both a high-resolution image (suitable for printing) and a smaller screen-resolution file delivered electronically. Since the coloring is digital, the only original artwork will be a line drawing on paper, but it can be mailed to you for an additional shipping fee if you wish to have it.
What it is: Rendered color is done digitally, using a more complex range of colors and tones, shading, lighting, and texture. What you get: You will receive both a high-resolution image (suitable for printing) and a smaller screen-resolution file delivered electronically. Since the coloring is digital, the only original artwork will be a line drawing on paper, but it can be mailed to you for an additional shipping fee if you wish to have it.
What it is: Marker colored artwork is drawn and rendered using black ink and Prismacolor markers on a sheet of Bristol board, usually 9x12". What you get: You will receive both a high-resolution scan and a smaller screen-resolution file delivered electronically. If you wish the original artwork, it can be mailed to you for an additional shipping fee.
What it is: Con badges are hand-drawn with ink and marker, then laminated in plastic for durability. Badges come in two sizes: Standard badges are roughly 2x3.5" (about the size of a business card) and include the character name and a headshot. Premium badges are roughly 4x6" and include the character name plus a full body or upper-body image of the character. What you get: All con badges are laminated and come with a badge clip. If you pre-order a badge before any convention I'll be attending, you'll be able to pick up the badge starting Friday morning during regular dealer or artist hours. Otherwise, the badge can be mailed to you for an additional shipping fee. |
